Police officers wives visited the First Lady to officially congratulate her. They raised several issues, amongst which was the need for them to have an office.
They stated they were actively involved in charity work and would like to have a base. The First Lady agreed with them on the need for an office but made it clear an “Office” is more than just a location, but what the office can do to help the people.
To this, the wives explained they are actively involved in several renovations of Officers restaurants across the country, with the most recent being the CID restaurant in Freetown.
The meeting will not be complete without them raising the issue of SLPF salaries. The First Lady said the building of this great country is paramount. Working together with singular vision will ensure a stronger and better economy for everyone.
The govt is working tirelessly and strategically to ensure the economic potential of the country is fully utilised. This automatically increases the standard of living of its citizens.
Sierra Leone will be the envy of Africa, but it will require, everyone, working together with the govt, to achieve this vision.
