The high-level regional event themed: Promoting cancer awareness and advocacy programs in its 27 OIC African Member States, ended with a Declaration signed by all First Ladies present. This was followed by a tree planting ceremony. Each country was represented by a tree.
.
Our first lady planted the tree representing our beautiful Sierra Leone. The growth of these trees side by side will be a sign of positive growth and unity among member states. More importantly it is a living monument to the agreement signed. In five years we will see how these trees has flourished and juxtapose it with the achievements of the OIC in promoting cancer awareness and advocacy programs.
The OIC African Member States took place in Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, on 1-2 August 2018. The Seminar was organised under the patronage of the First Lady of Burkina Faso, H.E. Madam Sika Kabore.
